This Academic Policy outlines the principles, procedures, and expectations that guide our teaching, learning, and assessment processes.
- Academic Structure
Degree Levels: We offer Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate (PhD) programs.
Credit System: All programs follow the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS):
Bachelor’s: 180 ECTS
Master’s: 90–120 ECTS
Doctorate: Based on research output and dissertation, typically 180 ECTS equivalent
Language of Instruction: English is the primary language of instruction. Optional French language support is available.
- Assessment & Grading
Assessment Methods: Coursework, written exams, oral presentations, group projects, research papers, and dissertations.
Grading Scale:
A (Excellent): 18–20
B (Very Good): 16–17.9
C (Good): 14–15.9
D (Satisfactory): 12–13.9
E (Pass): 10–11.9
F (Fail): Below 10
Resits: Students who fail may be allowed one reassessment opportunity per course.
- Academic Integrity
Academic honesty is a core value. Students must:
Submit original work
Properly cite sources
Avoid plagiarism and cheating
Violations may result in:
Grade penalties
Academic probation
Expulsion in severe cases
- Attendance & Participation
Students are expected to attend at least 75% of scheduled sessions.
Active participation is required, especially in seminars and workshops.
For online learners, participation in virtual sessions and timely submission of assignments is mandatory.
- Progression & Graduation
To progress to the next academic year or graduate, students must:
Earn the required ECTS credits
Complete mandatory modules, internships, or dissertations
Maintain academic good standing (no outstanding disciplinary issues or unpaid fees)
- Appeals & Student Rights
Students have the right to:
Appeal a grade through a formal process
Request academic accommodations (e.g., for disabilities)
Receive fair and respectful treatment from faculty and staff
Grade appeals must be submitted in writing within 14 days of receiving results.
